The History of Satan's House
The story of the History of Satan's Slave House begins in 1900 in Pangalengan, West Java. At that time, the house was used as a residence for the supervisor of the plantation owned by the Bosscha brothers.
Bosscha is a tea entrepreneur from the Netherlands who owns the Malabar Tea Plantation in Pangalengan. Bosscha is known as someone who is generous and has an interest in science.
Evidence of this is the existence of the oldest astronomical observatory in Indonesia, which is in Lembang, as well as relics from Bosscha. However, the tea garden owned by Bosscha was later taken over by the state through PT Perkebunan Nusantara, so the house changed ownership.
Several times the house was occupied by people, including the one now owned by PTPN VIII, but this did not last long. Over time, this house was not properly cared for, but it was maintained because it has valuable historical value.
Currently, the house is used as a filming location and also as a tourist spot in Pangalengan. For anyone who wants to enter this house, an entrance ticket payment of IDR 10,000 is required. With these tickets, you can see firsthand its uniqueness and charm.
